The motor protection boxes are responsible for overseeing the proper operation of a motor and protect it against any kind of overload or short circuit. In addition, depending on the model, it can also manage the limit switches.In Hortielectric we produce two types of motor protection boxes, which differs in the type of construction, and are divided into three models according to their functionality.
Power box
Power box, executed in plastic casing with front opening through lockable vent, which allows to reset the motor protective circuit breaker.
Bus 3 wires
Affordable and user friendly. It receives the commands from the intermediate console.
Bus 4 wires
the power boxes working under this bus can have integrated local control and signalling.
Bus 7 wires
Total signalling. In addition to the characteristic mentioned above, it also can send the status of the motor to the intermediate panel, to be signalled.
PowerBox
Power box, executed in plastic casing with total closure and lockable isolator switch, with external padlock. For maximum safety, it does not allow access to the live parts, before performing electrical cut by external switch. The rearming of the circuit breaker is performed from the outside of the box. Depending on the functions required power boxes work under three types of bus signal:
